Add Apple Health
Send your Apple Health numbers to your assistant yourself, with a small app or a screenshot. No one has to set anything up for you.
Works today
Nothing to connect. You only text your assistant.
Suggested tools
You can set these up yourself. Get the app, follow the steps, then copy the prompt.
Health Auto Export - JSON+CSV
An app that saves the Health numbers you pick into one small file.
Download for iPhoneOpen the website
- Download the app and allow it to read the Health data you choose.
- Use Manual Export. Pick what you want, like Steps and Sleep, and the dates.
- Choose CSV and save the file to your phone.
- Upload the file on your private files page.
- Text your assistant the message below.
Copy this prompt and give it to your assistant
I just got the Health Auto Export app and I want you to see my steps and sleep from Apple Health. Walk me through it one step at a time and wait for me after each step: use Manual Export, pick Steps and Sleep for the last 30 days, choose CSV, save the file, and upload it to my files page. Then add it to my log and tell me what you notice.
It is not automatic. You make a new file each time you want your assistant to see new numbers.
What to text
Here is a screenshot of my Health app. Add my steps and sleep to my log.
Steps today: 6,240. Sleep last night: 6 hours 40 minutes.
Here is a screenshot from my watch app. What does it show? Explain in plain words.
Show me my steps for this week.
What did I log this week? What do you notice?
Or send a screenshot
- Open the Health app on your iPhone, or the app for your watch.
- Go to the screen with the numbers you care about, like steps or sleep.
- Take a screenshot. See Photos and documents for how.
- Text the screenshot to your assistant. Say what to do with it. For example: "Add my steps and sleep to my log."
- Or skip the screenshot and just text the numbers.
- Once a week, ask: "What did I log this week?"
Example conversation
Add my steps and sleep to my log.
From your screenshot: 6,240 steps today and 6 hours 40 minutes of sleep last night. I added both to your log for Thursday.
Can you just read my Health app yourself?
Not on my own. Send me a screenshot, or a file from the Health Auto Export app, and I will read it.
Make it stick
- Pick one or two numbers to follow. A long list is hard to keep up.
- Send your screenshot at the same time each day or each week.
What it will not do
It does not read Apple Health on its own. You send the numbers. It does not connect to Google Fit, Fitbit, Garmin or Oura. It does not grade your health or diagnose from your numbers. Health screenshots can show private details, so only send what you are comfortable sharing.
Demo notice
During a demo, do not send passwords, card numbers or private customer details. Read the demo rules.
Your health
Talk to your doctor before you change a medicine, start hard exercise with a health condition, or follow a strict diet.
