How the security works

Your assistant lives in its own little house, the door only opens for your phone number, it drafts and you send, and passwords never go in a text. Here is the whole thing in two minutes.

The three rules

It drafts, you send. It writes the text, the reply, the post. You press send. It never sends, pays, posts or publishes without your yes, so one bad day can never reach all your customers.

It does not snoop. It does not read your email, open your bank or post on your Instagram. It only knows what you tell it, send it, or save on its private page. Never send a password in a text. If a job needs a login, it goes only on your private Settings page. It is stored on your own server, and your assistant never sees the password itself. If a text asks you to type a password, do not. Tell Sam.

What Sam can reach depends on your plan. For the first 48 hours of setup, Sam uses a separate setup login to finish the install. It is recorded and closes on its own. After that, on Care he has no login to your server, and fixes happen on a screen share you run. On Managed he has a fixed settings menu that cannot read your chats, memory or files. On Full Service, if Sam needs to get into your server, your assistant texts you first: why, and for how long. Nothing happens until you reply YES, and STOP ends it at any time. On a free demo, Sam can look at a conversation to fix a problem, and your assistant says so if you ask. Access and changes are logged where you can read them.

Steps

1. Only your phone number can text it. A stranger gets nothing back, not even a hello.
2. Anything it writes for a customer comes to you to copy and send. You are always the one pressing send.
3. A page it builds has a long random link. Nobody can guess it, but anyone you give the link to can open it.
4. Not sure about something? Ask it straight: who can see this, what do you know about me. It answers plainly.

• More detail, including which companies handle your messages, on About your data.
• To see or erase the notes it keeps about you, open the Memory tab on your private page, or text "forget that". To clear its deeper memory store, ask Sam.
