Make a plan to pay off debt
You list what you owe, and your assistant helps you put it in order and see a plan month by month.
Works today
Nothing to connect. You only text your assistant.
Suggested tools
You can set these up yourself. Get the app, follow the steps, then copy the prompt.
Undebt.it
A free website where you type in your debts and it shows a payoff plan month by month.
- Make a free account. No bank login and no card are needed.
- Type each debt: a short name, the balance, the interest rate and the lowest payment. Do not type account numbers.
- Pick a payoff method and look at the plan.
- Take a screenshot of the plan and text it to your assistant. You can also export the plan to Excel and upload it on your files page.

I want to make a debt payoff plan with the free site Undebt.it. Walk me through it one step at a time and wait for me after each step: make a free account, type each debt with a short name, balance, interest rate and lowest payment (no account numbers), pick a payoff method, then send a screenshot of the plan. Then explain it month by month in plain words. Each time I text a payment, tell me how much is left on that debt.
It shows the math for the numbers you type. It does not tell you which loan or card to get, and it does not talk to your lenders.
AnnualCreditReport.com
The official free site to see your credit reports, which list who you owe.
- Go to the site yourself and ask for your reports. You can also call 1-877-322-8228.
- Read the list of open accounts. Write down each lender's name and the balance.
- Text only the names and balances to your assistant. Do not send the full report.

I want to list my debts using my free credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com. Walk me through it one step at a time and wait for me after each step: I get the report myself, read the open accounts, and text you only each lender's name and balance. Do not ask for the full report. Then add them to my debt list and tell me which ones still need an interest rate and a lowest payment.
The report does not show your interest rates, and it holds private details, so keep the full report to yourself.
Bankrate credit card payoff calculator
A free web calculator that shows how long one card takes to pay off.
- Open the calculator. Type the balance, the interest rate and what you pay each month.
- Take a screenshot of the result.
- Text it to your assistant to compare with its plan.
Copy this prompt and give it to your assistant
I want to double check your payoff plan with the Bankrate credit card payoff calculator. Walk me through it one step at a time and wait for me after each step: I type the balance, the interest rate and my monthly payment, take a screenshot of the result and send it here. Then compare it with your plan and show me where the numbers differ.
It does one card at a time, and the page also shows card offers. Your assistant will not tell you which offer to take.
What to text
Help me make a plan to pay off my debt. Ask me what I owe.
I owe 2,400 on one card at 24 percent, 900 on another at 19 percent, and 5,000 on a car loan at 7 percent. I can pay 450 a month in total.
Explain two ways to order my debts. Use plain words.
I paid 300 on the first card. Update my plan.
How much have I paid off so far?
Steps
- Text each debt: who it is to, how much, the interest rate, and the lowest payment.
- Do not send card numbers or account numbers. It does not need them.
- Text how much you can pay in total each month.
- Ask it to explain the common ways to order debts. Pick the one that fits you.
- Ask for a month by month list. Check the numbers against your statements.
- Each time you pay, text the amount so it updates the plan.
Example conversation
Explain two ways to order my debts. Use plain words.
Two common ways:
1. Highest interest first. You pay the lowest payment on all, and put the extra on the card at 24 percent. This usually costs the least over time.
2. Smallest debt first. You put the extra on the 900 card. You finish one debt sooner, which can help you keep going.
Both work if you keep paying. Which one fits you better?
Smallest first.
Okay. I will lay out your plan month by month with the 900 card first. These are estimates. Your statements have the exact numbers.
Make it stick
- Text every payment the day you make it. Seeing the number go down helps you keep going.
- Use real numbers from your statements. A plan built on guesses falls apart.
What it will not do
It does not tell you which loans or cards to sign up for, and it does not pick investments. It can get interest math wrong. For debt you cannot pay, a nonprofit credit counselor or a licensed professional can help.
Your money
This is for organizing and explaining only. It does not pick investments and does not give tax or legal advice. For those, ask a licensed professional. Never text bank passwords, card numbers or full account numbers. Cover them in photos.
Demo notice
During a demo, do not send passwords, card numbers or private customer details. Read the demo rules.
