Plan my week
Your assistant helps you look at the week ahead and decide what goes on which day.
Works today
Nothing to connect. You only text your assistant.
Suggested tools
You can set these up yourself. Get the app, follow the steps, then copy the prompt.
Google Calendar
Google's free calendar app. It works on iPhone, Android and the web.
Download for iPhoneDownload for AndroidOpen the website
- Quick way: open the week view on your phone, take a screenshot, and text it to your assistant.
- For a full copy, use a computer. Open calendar.google.com. On the left, under My calendars, point at your calendar, click More, then Settings and sharing.
- Click Export calendar. A file that ends in .ics downloads.
- Send /home to your assistant to open your files page, and upload the file there.
- Text the prompt below.
Copy this prompt and give it to your assistant
I use Google Calendar and I want you to help me plan next week. Walk me through it one step at a time and wait for me after each step. The quick way is a screenshot of the week view. For a full copy, on a computer I open calendar.google.com, my calendar's Settings and sharing, Export calendar, then upload the .ics file to my files page. Then tell me which day looks too full and where I have 2 free hours.
The file is a copy from the moment you exported it, so it does not update when your calendar changes.
Apple Calendar (iCloud)

Remind me I can turn Public Calendar off after.
Anyone who has that link can see every event on that calendar, and your assistant can only read it.
What to text
Help me plan my week. Ask me what is coming up.
This week I have 6 jobs, payroll on Friday and my son's game on Wednesday at 5. Spread it out.
Here is a screenshot of my calendar for the week. What looks too full?
What did I plan for this week?
Week review: what did I finish, and what should move to next week?
Steps
- Pick one day for planning. Sunday night or Monday morning works well.
- Text what is coming: jobs, bills, family, appointments.
- Ask it to spread the work across the days.
- Fix what does not fit. For example: "Move the supply run to Tuesday."
- Ask it to save the plan. During the week, text "What did I plan for today?"
- At the end of the week, ask for a short review.
Example conversation
This week I have 6 jobs, payroll on Friday and my son's game on Wednesday at 5. Spread it out.
Here is a first plan:
Monday: 2 jobs
Tuesday: 2 jobs
Wednesday: 1 job, done by 4. Game at 5.
Thursday: 1 job, get payroll numbers ready
Friday: payroll, catch up
Want me to save this as your week?
Yes, save it.
Saved. Text "What did I plan for today?" any morning.
Make it stick
- Plan on the same day every week. One short planning text is enough.
- Leave room. A week with no free time breaks on Tuesday.
What it will not do
It does not put anything on your calendar. See Add my calendar.
