Turn a link into an app on your phone

When your assistant builds you a page and texts you the link, you can keep it on your home screen like any other app. No app store, nothing to install. Three taps.

Works today

Nothing to connect. You only text your assistant.

About 70 seconds. iPhone, Android and computer.

What you are actually doing

The page your assistant built lives on your own private server. The link is the key to it. Adding it to your home screen just puts a button for that key next to your other apps, so you do not have to find the text again.

It is still private: only people you give the link to can open it. Share it like a key, not like a flyer.

What to text

  • Where is my list?

  • Send me the link again.

  • Change the name of the app to "Renewals".

  • Who can see this page?

Steps

  1. iPhone (Safari): open the link, tap the Share button at the bottom (the square with the arrow), scroll a little, tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  2. Android (Chrome): open the link, tap the three dots in the top corner, tap Add to Home screen, then Add. Firefox on a phone: same thing, in its menu.
  3. Computer (Chrome or Edge): look at the right end of the address bar for a small install icon, click it, then Install. It opens in its own window from then on.
  4. Firefox on a computer has no install button. Bookmark the link, or drag it to your desktop.

Example conversation

You:

where is my price list

Your assistant:

here it is, a private link only you can open. Tap it, then Share, then Add to Home Screen to keep it like an app.

You:

can u call it Prices instead

Your assistant:

done. open the link again and add it to your home screen; it will say Prices now.

This is an example. The words your assistant uses will be different.

Make it stick

  • Lost the link? Text your assistant "where is my list" and it sends it again.
  • What you type into the page stays on the phone you typed it on. Another phone sees an empty page.

What it will not do

This is not a website with an address people can find. If you want a page customers can find on their own, ask your assistant about putting it on the public web; that is a separate yes.

Demo notice

During a demo, do not send passwords, card numbers or private customer details. Read the demo rules.
